In the future, I would suggest using MakeMKV to rip DVDs and the like as it will completely avoid this problem in the first place by putting every title into a single file from the start. It supports the newest NVIDIA CUDA, Intel Quick Sync, multi-core CPUs, batch mode and unique encode technology, which makes the conversion speed 30-50X faster. VOB file and if true it will run the MKVmerge program you setup earlier.Īlternatively, there is a tool, though I have never used it, called MKVbatch which is supposed to be a GUI for MKVmerge that allows you to essentially batch together MKVmerge operations like you want. It provides one-stop total solution to backup purchased DVD disc for personal use, convert video, download online video, edit and play movies/video with excellent performance. There is a bit of a 'guided' option by going up to the multiplexer tab and clicking command line, which will then give you the command used with MKVmerge to complete what you have currently done in MKVtoolNix GUI, of course you need to ambiguate some things for multiple folders by using a batch file (in windows at least) an example being for /r "YOUR DIRECTORY PATH" %%f in (*.vob) do (MKVtooNIX COMMAND OUTPUT HERE) of course thats just a basic overview, but I haven't worked with batch files in a long time, thats just a simple for loop that will go through every folder and look for a. However the batch processing can have a rather large learning curve if you try to jump straight into the command line options as the MKVtoolNix GUI is a bit lacking and it's really only building a command line argument for MKVmerge anyway. MKVtoolNix is the fastest at changing containers, adding or removing subtitles, setting default tracks, metadata flags, etc inside a consolidated GUI wrapper.
